
The Various Food Products Division of the Chamber of Food Industries, headed by Mr. Mohamed Bashanfar, held an expanded meeting with producers of ice, refrigerators for cold and frozen storage, ready meals, and supermarket chains nationwide to discuss growth opportunities and review proposed solutions to the problems facing producers.
Mr. Bashanfar indicated that the Chamber seeks to work to remove all the difficulties facing the ice industry and ready-to-eat meal producers and their compliance with food safety requirements, in addition to the Chamber providing many technical support programs, training programs, and initiatives to develop the technical and administrative performance of various industrial establishments that are members of the Chamber and raise their workers’ efficiency through cooperation protocols with government agencies, financial institutions and service providers, such as training programs to solve the problem of labor shortage in this industry, including initiatives in cooperation with the Ministry of Technical Education.
He stressed that commercial chains will witness great development during the coming period, especially with regards to removing all obstacles, pointing out that periodic meetings will be held with representatives of commercial chains, packagers, and owners of cold and frozen storage refrigerators during the month of next December.
