Rawabet:

The Chamber of Food Industries, in cooperation with the International Labor Organization and the National Food Safety Authority within the framework of the Rawabet project funded by the Norwegian government, is implementing a project to develop the value chain for the dairy sector, with the aim of contributing to improving and developing the performance of actors in the sector along the value chain in order to provide high quality milk and ensure that it is safely managed during the collection, transportation, and storage phases, until it reaches major manufacturers from the private sector in accordance with the standards and recommendations of the National Food Safety Authority. The project works to support the economic empowerment of small farmers / dairy producers / breeders, by improving their milking and handling practices, as well as by enabling them to have access to improved feed, and facilitate their access to veterinary and agricultural guidance services. It is worth noting that the existence of a national plan to develop dairy gathering centers will contribute mainly to developing the value chain of the sector, and it is necessary for the contribution of the National Food Safety Authority to complete the development plan in line with the international requirements and standards required by the authority's approval and to ensure product safety in all stages of its production.
