Signing a protocol between the Chamber of Food Industries and the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries
The National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries and the Chamber of Food Industries signed a cooperation protocol. The protocol was signed by Dr. Adel Ali Ahmed, President of the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries, and Dr. Hani Al-Minshawy, Head of the Chamber of Food Industries' Fish Division. The protocol, according to Dr. Hani Al-Minshawy, supports the Chamber's role in assisting the country to advance its national industry, development, and community service by encouraging industry and scientific research sectors to work together to develop the fish farming and processing sector through the implementation of short- and long-term action plans.
Veterinary Services
As a result of the efforts made by the Chamber of Food Industries with the authorities to eliminate the fees for veterinary services (epidemiological certificate) on agricultural commodities and products imported from abroad. Companies working in the dairy sector and its products enjoy an exemption from the fees of the epidemiological certificate which is 1 per thousand of the total invoice.
Free Sale
Free Sale letter is one of the documents that foreign importers require from Egyptian exporters, and it is considered as a guarantee that the commodity for which the letter is issued for; is authorized to be used in the Arab Republic of Egypt and that there are no restrictions to selling this commodity inside the country. The exporter cannot carry out the export process without the free sale letter. The letter is issued for a minimal fee and is issued by the Chamber in the same day
Local component
According to Law No. 5 of 2015 and its executive regulations regarding preference for Egyptian products in government contracts, the Chamber issues letters to the Federation of Egyptian Industries that include the approval of the data issued by the Industrial Development Authority regarding calculating the percentage of the Egyptian industrial component in the products that are exported; based on which; the Export Development Fund releases the supporting fund. The cost of issuing the letter is estimated at 200 pounds for a single product. Accordingly, the Federation of Egyptian Industries issues the Egyptian Industrial Component Certificate for a fee of a minimum of 350 and a maximum of 1150 Egyptian pounds.
Cooperation protocol between the Chamber of Food Industries and the Canadian project
The Chamber of Food Industries signed a joint cooperation protocol with the Canadian project to implement the project to enhance women's opportunities in agricultural manufacturing, which is funded by the Canadian government and will be implemented in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry and the National Council for Women.
In the presence of Eng. Ashraf El-Jazairly, Chairman of the Chamber of Food Industries, Ms. Rana Jamali, Vice-Chairman of the Chamber, Mr. Mahmoud El-Bassiouni, Executive Director of the Chamber, Canadian Minister of International Cooperation, Deputy Minister and Canadian Ambassador in Cairo, Director of External Relations at the National Council for Women, and Director of the Canadian Project.
Where Mr. Mahmoud El-Bassiouni, Executive Director of the Chamber, and Dr. Khaled Shedid, Project Manager, signed the protocol and stated that the implementation of the work plan, activities and areas of cooperation at the governorates level (Bani Suef and Minya) will begin within a period of 4 years, during which all necessary technical support will be provided. cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Chamber of Food Industries
The Chamber of Food Industries signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, with the aim of cooperation between the two sides in raising the efficiency and competitiveness of the Egyptian industry in the field of food manufacturing and agricultural production. Food industries, in the presence of Eng. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Director General of Agricultural Education, this protocol comes in light of Egypt’s Vision 2030, and within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to prepare a technician capable of competing in the local, regional and global markets.
The protocol stipulates that the Ministry adopt the establishment of new technical programs in the areas of the food industry and agricultural production in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, and motivate school administrations, teachers and students to participate in competitions that develop skills. In major export farms and food processing companies, through a skills training program to enhance their abilities and skills to qualify them for a job opportunity after graduation, as well as organizing training courses for the rich agricultural secondary school teachers and front desks in the field of food industries and agricultural production, to provide them with skills to deal with modern technologies In industry, agriculture, and modern display devices, and contributing to training trainers for members of the education staff in order to achieve the principle of sustainability, and developing agricultural technical education programs
