Services of the Environmental Compliance and Sustainable Development Office (ECO)
In coordination with the Training and Business Development Department, ECO provides advisory services to the industry in the field of sustainable development, environmental management systems, energy efficiency, new and renewable energy, with the aim of raising the efficiency of the national industry, introducing environmental compatibility rules and technology, strengthening local competencies and capabilities and supporting competitiveness.
Technical services provided by ECO:
- Assisting in obtaining various financing packages and preparing feasibility studies to finance environmental and development projects.
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies and licensing assistance.
- Evaluate and prepare facilities and projects to apply environmentally friendly technologies
- Conducting environmental audits for industrial facilities.
- Conducting an environmental survey for industrial complexes.
- Perform intermediate measurements within the work environment and the surrounding environment.
- To adjust and improve the performance of operating thermal units (furnaces or boilers) in the various industrial sectors.
- Gender Audit Procedures
- Technical assistance to companies in the field of the Clean Development Mechanism and preparing a summary of the project idea for the selected factories and following them up in the evaluation stage.
- Energy Efficiency Certified Reviews.
- Prepare project documents including implementation / support of necessary feasibility studies and any related assessments to obtain all required certificates.
- Prepare the environmental register, including the required environmental measurements.
- Provide consultancy services for product development with the aim of raising the efficiency of the local product and opening new export markets.
- Evaluate and prepare the corporate social responsibility strategy, and prepare the Sustainability Report / GRI
Financial support program for industrial establishments
The office provides soft loans to finance industrial equipment for the application of technologies of environmental compatibility, energy efficiency and renewable energy applications within industrial facilities in cooperation with the Environment Protection Fund at the Ministry of Environment at a value of up to 7 million Egyptian pounds to be paid in annual installments from one year to five years, including a grace period of one year and administrative expenses 3.5% through the National Bank of Egypt or the participating banks.

“Proudly made in Egypt” Trade mark
As a member of the Chamber, you can obtain a "Proudly Made in Egypt" Trade mark, if the basic criteria are met. This trade mark is considered a slogan for companies that manufacture a high-quality Egyptian product, and it aims primarily to introduce the local consumer to those companies. This trade mark is granted by the Industry Modernization Center of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, where the center evaluates and harmonizes the requirements of the trade mark in the companies that wish to obtain it, and it is valid for a period of two years.
Positive impact on companies that obtain the Trade mark:
- Enhancing companies' ability to provide quality products that meet consumer needs
- The possibility of the advanced companies obtaining subsidized services through the IMC to fill the gaps that may appear during the evaluation
- Distinguishing the products of the companies that have the trade mark from the products of the informal sector
Labor relations services through the labor unit of the Federation of Egyptian Industries
The Labor Unit at the Federation of Egyptian Industries was established in 2015 in cooperation with the International Labor Organization to provide services to members of the chambers of industry in the field of labor relations with the aim of solving labor problems, providing services in the field of labor relations and spreading awareness in this regard.
The unit offers the following activities:
- Legal advice in the field of labor relations (labor law)
- Spreading awareness of the labor law through a series of events and workshops
- Supporting business owners in dispute resolution committees
- Supporting the sector through collective negotiations to solve labor problems and study labor agreements
- Follow up on the latest developments related to the awareness activities related to labor relations.

Research and development of equipment, machinery, spare parts and materials needed for production. Provide preventive maintenance solutions that depend on monitoring the machine’s condition in order to predict faults that may occur before they happen.

One-stop shop services in the Federation of Egyptian Industries
The Chamber's members benefit from the one-stop-shop service to obtain the services of the Industrial Development Authority, taxes services, and commercial registry services, and the following is an explanation of the services provided:
Industrial Development Authority services (at Cairo, Qalyubia and some areas of Giza)
- Issuing the operating license
- Issuing the industrial record
- A letter from the general secretary of the governorate and establishments outside the industrial zones
- Sanitation letter outside the industrial areas
- The letter of the drinking water and sanitation company outside the industrial areas
Taxes services
- Issuing the new tax card (nationwide)
- A letter stating that the tax card is being issued to complete the procedures until the tax card is issued
Commercial registry services
- Issuing a new registry (nationwide)
- Issuing a recent copy of the record (nationwide)
- Amending the registry for previously issued record from the Federation office
