
The Chamber of Food Industries held its regular meeting for the Dairy Products Division, headed by Mr. Mohamed El-Damaty, a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, to discuss the current and future status of the dairy industry in Egypt. Mr. Mohamed confirmed that the specifications that were recently approved contributed greatly to overcoming many of the obstacles and challenges that factories faced in the dairy sector, dairy products, juices and other food industries during the last period, especially related to local manufacturing and export, the most important of which is the decision to increase the shelf life of yogurt. From 14 days to 30 days in accordance with the technologies used in manufacturing and amendments to the general specifications for juices and fruit nectars and the general specifications for labels, packages and data.
