
The first phase of the Chamber of Food Industries’ technical support convoy’s activities included a visit to fish factories in the Port Said Governorate for the program “Gap analysis and needs study” from Tuesday, October 17, to Thursday, October 19, 2023. This was done in accordance with the standards set by the National Food Safety Authority for the compliance of facilities with food safety requirements, the application of control systems, and the accreditation of primary suppliers and industrial facilities. This was done through field visits to Egypt Fish factories for packing and processing chilled and frozen fish, as well as the National Fisheries Company (the Panamanian shrimp farming and packing station in the Diba triangle in Port Said Governorate, the Golden Dove factory for processing chilled and frozen fish, Al-Radwan factories for processing chilled and frozen fish, as well as the Egypt Talia Factory for processing chilled and frozen fish.
The Chamber will organize the activities of the second phase of the technical support convoy in Alexandria Governorate.
