
The Chamber of Food Industries participated in the activities and meetings of the General Assembly at the IDF World Dairy Summit 2022, which was held in New Delhi, India, during the period from September 11 to 15, 2022, under the slogan “Dairy for Nutrition and Livelihoods” in the presence of Dr. Reda Abdel Jalil, Director of Technical Affairs In the Chamber, as this conference is the largest conference and global gathering for the dairy sector and its products, in which the Chamber has participated regularly since 2009. This global event was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India in the presence of 10 relevant ministers during the various conference sessions, and more than 2,500 participants from experts, farmers and policy planners, whether For production, manufacturing, marketing or future vision.
The conference included a discussion of many important global issues during 24 specialized sessions in different fields and topics presented by more than 120 speakers from all over the world, and representatives of many international organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organization, the International Codex Commission, the World Health Organization, the Food and Agriculture Organization, and the World Health Organization. Cooperation and Economic Development, the United Nations Environment Programme, the World Bank, and the Global Child Feeding Foundation.
Among the most important topics that were discussed were the global situation of dairy, the field of production, processing, marketing and sustainability of the dairy sector and its products in the world, future trends, dairy science and technology, modern technologies and innovations, social and economic impacts and livelihoods, food and nutrition, food health and safety and legislation regulating it, sustainability and the impact of conditions Climate on the dairy sector, the effects of the Corona pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war on the dairy sector, the role of cooperative institutions in developing the dairy sector, school feeding, milk-producing animals other than cows.
